Our Approach to AI

Despite the name, TickTockRobot is made up of humans. We love drawing, making, experimenting and getting things wrong until they’re right... preferably with a pencil in hand.

We use AI selectively during development to support that creative process. It can help us stress-test ideas, edit and tidy scripts we’ve written, and visualise early concepts for discussion and client approval.

Our ideas and scripts start with us. We don’t use AI to write scripts from scratch. It helps us question and refine our thinking; creative decisions remain with our team.

Early visualisation is a stepping stone. We may use AI to help communicate a visual direction before moving into human design, development and production.

We will always be transparent when we use AI. We tell clients where and how it has been used, including in development materials and concept visuals.

Generative AI content does not appear in our finished work. That includes generated artwork, animation and 3D models. Our final films are designed, built and animated by people.

We’re curious about what new tools can offer, but we still love doing as much as possible the analogue way. The robots will always be our assistants, never our creators.
