Simon Armstrong

Creative Director

Simon is the founder and Creative Director of ticktockrobot. His core specialties are in concept, design and development, as well as animation and art direction. He has written, produced and directed an eclectic scope of projects on a diverse number of subjects, ranging in complexity and audience type.

Utilising his passion for film to create cinematic animations, he explores varying camera angles and dynamic lighting techniques, all of which are evident in his heavily concept driven designs.  Playing with shadows, mixed mediums, and of course..... clockwork, all contribute to Simon’s idiosyncratic style.

Now leading our eclectic mix of talented, award winning directors and designers, Simon works with the team to deliver cross platform animation projects in a craft orientated environment.  He loves conceptualising exciting ways to convey an idea. His favourite part of a project being the beginning, when anything and everything is possible. He is often in trade magazines as an industry expert on the animation and design industry and his work has won much acclaim and even a few awards!
